I've started books before that I DNF because they were too complicated for my frame of mind at the time. Like, sometimes I'm willing to keep a mental spreadsheet of characters, affiliations and timelines, but sometimes it's just not worth the effort, you know? Anyway, "Queen Demon" is the first time I've ever had that happen to me with a sequel.

There is a lot to dislike about this new Amazon Robin Hood show, just based on historical errors, but goddamn do I like that I can actually *see* what is going on. Between this and Fallout it is almost like they've rediscovered how to make color TV again.

Not secret: I understand that the new “Wuthering Heights” movie is specifically the director’s teenaged interpretation of the novel rather than a fully faithful adaptation.

Secret: However, I am still unreasonably bitter that Dev Patel wasn’t cast as Heathcliff, because he would have been perfect for the role.

I'm still salty about the ABC Office-style show being cancelled. Kermit asking Piggy to create a birthday gift for his new girlfriend because he has no romantic bone in his body and her using their love song for it was priceless.

My favorite low income/poverty finance person on YouTube keeps making increasingly clickbait titles and videos on YT and it's turning me off. I get it. The clickbait gets the clicks, and she needs the clicks for the money. But I'm tired of it. PLUS, she never even says very much in the videos! It's constantly "Well, this isn't my story to tell, I can't really explain what happened, but it was REALLY BAD, the last few days have been terrible, but I can't get into it" and she'll ramble for 15+ minutes and say almost nothing?? Girl. I'm about to unsubscribe.

I'm the OP of the Simpsons secret from a few months back where I said that my favorite Simpsons character was ruined for me because they shared the same name as an annoying coworker. I am happy to announce that the annoying coworker in question quit without notice yesterday and I never have to deal with them again.

Does this person have a Patreon they might be hinting at? I find a lot of Youtubers I've ended up unsubscribing from do that rambly cryptic nothing-talk when they're trying to hint at "I have STUFF going on you guys, just get past the paywall."

Oof, yeah. I can deal with the clickbait titles for one guy I follow because I get that he needs to grab a wider audience, but his content is always smart, informative, and well-delivered. There was another person I just had to quit watching because of that combination of clickbait titles and rambling girl-give-us-nothing delivery where it's like... oh, you're going to talk for half an hour to give me five minutes worth of news, and half of that is you laughing with your un-mic'ed producer about some inside joke.

The mockumentary show was painfully bad. I think the new series will be great if they make it for today’s kids and include content for their parents. But I think there’s a good chance it will end up being another soulless cash grab that relies heavily on the nostalgia Gen C and millennials have for everything from their childhoods.
