13. The biggest idiot in any fandoms I've ever been involved in was this professor of Medieval History. She entered into a community based around the love of a fictional film portrayal of a figure from history and completely wanted to disregard the fact that most of the people there were fans because of the movie and not because of some great interest in history. Now, I got along with her at first because I did also enjoy the historical aspect as I was actually studying that specific area for time ... but she went on to flame people who didn't agree with her, bash any form of slash, and just be a complete ass in the fandom. She used to post off the wall memes in the community. While I had her friended I had to keep her on a filter to hide my yaoi and slash from her not because she was homophobic in the least but rather because I knew she would say something. I must have eventually pissed her off 'cos she unfriended me, and a few months later I found out she had been banned from the community for repeated flaming -- I had stopped watching the community because of her random posts about said historical figure's cousin's uncle's brother's friend as though it was relevant.
Her master's degree just made her a self righteous bitch who underneath everything was just a stupid fangirl like most of the people she was bashing.
