I've lost friends over it -- because their new-found friends in the PoT fandom are more important, interesting, and fun.

Yeah. Fandom totally equals friendship (NOT!)...and I hate the PoT fandom. It's disgusting and shallow, and I can't help but think that the people who are in the fandom are the same in their own right.

1. OMG. This is the only reason that the only anime/manga men I actually have a crush on and adore are Maito Gai and Guts from Berserk. Big noses and strong and unique/weird facial structures ftw ♥ :[ Bishounen and manga/anime men just don't appeal to me outside of their personality (the girls do, but RL girls are about a billion times sexier and I get so confused at people who think anime girls>>>real ones)

11. I was in that fandom for a good 3 years or so; though I don't hate it now ... it still holds a part of my heart. Just not as much. Although I'd have to blame and hate it for stealing one of my best friends away, when they became a BNF.

I'm fairly positive that I can assure you that even some IN the fandom find the others to be stupid and immature. It can happen in any fandom, then again. But I totally understand where you're coming from. I've felt ashamed on occasion, just to say I enjoy the series. NOT the fandom- they're totally different. DX

15. SAME HERE. That's why I avoid them whenever possible, if I find myself getting into the series, or whatnot. Big examples would be FMA and Johnny's. XD;

11) I'm in the fandom and some of the people scare me. I don't think you have to be an RPSer to enjoy the fandom, either. I'm in it for the acting, singing, and dancing, believe it or not, and because I'm a big fan of musicals in general. Considering one of my other fandoms is Takarazuka, honestly, are you surprised? The occasional slash is just incidental, for the most part. Anyway, don't group us all together and say the whole fandom is full of people of one type. It's not true, especially not in the Tenimyu fandom.
