Yeah, true. I just worry about the language of *fails, where it often seems people are being told not to write faily things, rather than "consider what you write before you do and make an informed choice about whether you feel that the story needs what you're about to say." I agree that authors really do need to think about what and how we write, but the way in which "allies" are encouraged *not to talk( until they get it "right" bugs me a lot.
