For what it matters as a former Christian/now agnostic, I believe you really hit the nail on the head here. I recall reading articles about the relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene, and to say the least, any way you look at it, the relationship was complex. But it seems that even though romantic and/or sexual love are gifts from God in the Christian sense, so many Christians want to shame it and make it a filthy sin. If Jesus Christ is indeed God in the form of man (that is the Christian tradition that I myself was raised in, and I understand not all Christians believe the same), then wouldn't he have felt the same feelings and emotions as your average flesh-and-blood man, and wouldn't that probably include sexual and/or romantic feelings?

Oh dear...sorry for the damn dissertation here, but yeah, you hit the nail on the head.
