OH MY GOD I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. They are so easily offend it is not even funny.

We tried to do Day of Silence at my school. It wasn't even the first time, but it was the first time our GSA felt comfortable putting advertising on the walls. They made us take all the posters down and said that if anyone participated they would be suspended. Of course, anyone who is in a GSA has to know their rights - if you don't, you get screwed over so hard - so we threatened to raise the biggest fuss the suburban, puritanical tight asses had ever known. They said that they didn't want people to participate because Day of Silence would be 'too disruptive'. (Newsflash: It would be less disruptive if your school wasn't full of dicks.)

Then there was the part where they completely glossed over the Japanese internment camps. And the fact that Oscar Wilde? GAY. The Civil War? TOTES WAS ABOUT TAXES AND ONLY TAXES. *headdesks* This is why I got in trouble so much at that school. I wound up screaming at a football coach/history teacher who's main talking point about WWII was goddamn trenchfoot. Jesus fucking Christ.

/end rant. My god, I'm so glad to be out of there. Fuck you, middle class. You're worse than the trailer park ever was.
