I can't wait for that movie! I was highly disappointed that "A bug's life" actually featured a male protagonist that was an ANT, while the ant "princess" and queen should have been running the show. Instead the "princess" was a stupid damsel in distress/love interest and the queen was downplayed. Also most of the entire cast was male. A lot of those animated insect movies did that. Ignoring a good chance to have a strong female lead because of the laws of nature and try to squeeze in as many male characters as possible. Because we all know boys can't relate to a female. Yes, us menfolk is probably too stupid to relate to a woman.
This new Disney movie comes to mind, which should be about Rapunzel. But they made it about some thief and named the movie "Tangled", because they feared boys wouldn't like to see a movie that was named after a female character.
I'm really tired of the boring female secondary characters. And I figure many girls are just as tired of the male "loser" lead who ends up with the "gorgeous girl prize".
