About two years ago, I did a fic exchange and tried very hard to write exactly what the recipient had requested. The recipient never commented on the fic. It went on to become my most popular piece by a fair measure; it's sitting at about 100 comments, 40 bookmarks on delicious (yeah, I check every once in awhile) and I still don't like to think about the fact that the recipient never acknowledged it, because I can't help but think she just didn't like it.

Plus she's now in my new fandom, and every time I see her comment on another fic I mutter a little.


This totally makes me sound pathetic.
