And I'm just wondering, when you stop the moon and defeat Majora, does that save everyone? It shouldn't, considering that you weren't there to help them during the three day cycle since you can't help everyone. (I'll have to admit I never got to finish the game because of said theft).

I kept wondering the same thing for ages! It's bad enough going around doing quests and knowing meanwhile a little girl is being kidnapped and traumatized by aliens, a couple aren't being reunited, a little girl has a zombie for a dad etc and you can't help them all at once. But ending the game and thinking those people you didn't help still have their problems... :-/ I guess the reasoning is supposed to be everything Link did came true, in all the many 3 day cycles.
