I like ffnet. It's the first place that I really discovered fanfic almost a decade ago and I continue to use it. Yes, there is a lot of crap there, but I don't think it's enough to earn the horrible reputation it has. There's crappy fic everywhere. There are some great fics on ffnet too and it's simple to use. The only thing that bugs me are the ads.
