I just get very annoyed whenever the quintessential hobbled woman comes up. Only the very rich did this sort of thing, and some Chinese groups (mine included) outright refused to do so. It really is not as prevalent as some people make them out to be.

Then I guess corsetting isn't as prevalent as it's made out to be either? (I did not do as much research here, so correct me if I'm wrong).
