I think even bigger than Nathan's poison was the issue of her being exposed firsthand to the effects of Zydrate addiction. Like, she was so clearly disgusted and weirded out by the junkies... why would she willingly choose that life for herself? Adding in the poison, welp.

I've read so many addict!Shilo fics, not necessarily 'cause I wanted to, but because they were there and I wanted fic, and it's not even done plausibly half the time. She's just turned completely OOC and people don't even try to look at her canon.

Also? A pet peeve of mine is when people have her hair grow back in, all nice and neat, no problems or complications. Dude, she was poisoned for all of her life. That doesn't just go away. She's probably going to have to deal with withdrawal, and then various side effects of kicking the meds for months, if not years. If her hair even manages to grow back, it's not going to be pretty and perfect, especially not at first.

I do that to myself, sometimes, too. I just want to see what's going on or someone else will tell me to check out a fic because of how "good" it is and I'll know that I shouldn't, but I'll look anyway...and then I just start twitching and get mad and have to walk away.

I'm a couple of chapters behind, but some of the recent developments are annoying me so I would probably be ranting about it a lot haha.

I think the last game of theirs that I legit liked was FFIX. FFXII had potential but they completely screwed up the gameplay. It was unfortunate, because having a non-Nomura (I HATE NOMURA SO MUCH OH MY GOD) game was really refreshing.

Have they made it to uh... Elf Island or whatever they were aiming for, anyway? :U All I know is that Miura keeps taking breaks to play IdolM@ster.

Yeaaaah. That usually happens to me with Naruto fanfiction. A lot of the most popular fic in the fandom is just OOC and shit terrible and I wonder why people think it's good.

My thoughts exactly. I think it'd just be easier to continue wearing her wig. My favourite author also wrote her having to draw on her eyebrows, as well.

And on that note, what the hell is up with all the Graverobber/Shilo abuse/rape fic? 8| I love me some darkfic, but I kind of wonder if they even watched the goddamn movie, and missed the entire part where all Graverobber did [after the initial using her as bait] was rescue and protect her.

I haven't, but the style reminds me of Baldur's Gate. I'm terrible at CRPGs, so much pausing involved when I play one.

YES. Miura has an obsession with IdolM@ster and the last however many breaks he's been on (he's been doing this for like 2 years +) have been because he quit life to play IdolM@ster.

I don't know much about Naruto, but I seem to notice, more often than not, that almost ALL fandoms are full of fic that portrays characters/situations I'd want to read about in a really OOC manner.

As much as I think she'd want to give up her wigs, having gross, not-all-there hair would be so much worse for her. Wigs, forever, it is!

I am flailing so hard right know. I DON'T KNOW! I feel like you're verbalizing every one of my thoughts because it's my absolute hugest pet peeve when people portray GraveRobber as abusive and horrible, especially towards Shilo. So many people are like, "Well, obviously, he's a dick." But, like. All he ever does is go around being really nice to Shilo. I used to be friend with a girl who I roleplayed with and, when dissecting them, sexually, I always said it seemed to make more sense that Shilo might ask to be hit or handled roughly (what with being frustrated at always being treated like she was fragile and little) and he would be "...Yeah, no. Never." Because he's not that guy, at all.
