DA here - and yes, +1 here, too. On all counts. I can't believe people who are crucifying Petunia because her shittiness was based on jealousy. Jesus. I mean, my older sister always loved horses and wanted to take riding lessons. My parents didn't have the money. Then, after everyone had left home except for me, they had the money, and my mom needed me out of the house over the summer so she could work, so I got sent to a horse camp. My sister still holds that against me to this day. Does that make her a bad person? Fuck no! Maybe one could say she should get a grip and get over it, and yeah, it's not like she hates my guts for that one thing, but I can see where she's coming from and I sympathize - it was shitty, unfair circumstance, and I don't blame her for being bitter. My point is that that's just teeny tiny compared to a theoretical Hogwarts letter and a magical world. People who think Petunia is evil for being jealous and bitter must live in a fucking bubble.
