Oh, there's no difference in other game stores selling used games and Gamestop selling used games. :) I wasn't trying to say that at all. Gamestop is just the first that came to mind because it's "eaten," so to speak, so many other game stores that I was familiar with from my childhood: EB Games, FuncoLand, Babbages, Game Crazy, etc. They all either went out of business or were absorbed by Gamestop, and since Gamestop is now the major store in my area, that's the first one that came to mind.
Reading the rest of your message, though, I'm unsure whether you're just angry about me singling out Gamestop or if you're angry that I brought up used games in general. If it's the latter, then I'm sorry -- but it IS an issue. If you want, I can claw through the internet to find the article I read a couple weeks ago in which a video game developer lamented both piracy and used games, admitting that while he saw the benefit in used games, it was still hurting the industry. Yes, it's going to happen everywhere -- in Gamestop, in other small game stores until Gamestop eats them, on the internet, etc. -- but it still hurts.
And Hell, I'm not telling people not to buy used games, you know. I was merely pointing out that this DOES hurt the industry, and that piracy is therefore adding insult to injury by just making the problem worse.
