I did this with a fic of mine. It kind of made it easier to tell those I wanted to tell, when I chose to tell them. I thought of it as my processing time; trying to work out how I felt about the whole thing. Perhaps you'll tell them when you're ready? And perhaps you're just not ready yet. Support helps but you need to be in the right frame of mind first.
