The "heart of the team" stuff... a lot of that was in supplemental materials, but she did care about the victims and connected with people from Carys to Beth to Clem. It makes sense to me though, because when you lead with your heart, you're more likely to make mistakes and miscalculations than if you weigh things more clinically.

And now I'm thinking about how doing this doomed so many people to mistakes or unhappiness, like poor Owen over Diane, Ianto over Lisa, Tosh over Mary and Tommy and Adam. On Torchwood you might be better off being clinical about relationships. Jeez.
