It's basically as bad with that as you'd think, too, at least in the pilot (I stopped watching after that-- ugh). The woman who can manipulate emotions is portrayed just like, well, every other "seductress" type woman ever on television, and... well, the woman who can strengthen one of her senses does so at the cost of obliterating every other sense and is nearly caught in the frigging pilot, because portraying a woman as observant, intelligent, and competent is apparently way too hard for them.
Meanwhile, yeah, the guys are shown as competent and useful while the girls... well, one does nothing and the other is a damsel in distress. Oh, I was overjoyed, let me tell you. */bitter*
