You don't HAVE to ship anything to be a part of the Avengers fandom. I don't actively ship Steve/Tony. I've done my level best to throw some other options out there (at least in fic...) and really... what else can you do? Enjoy what you enjoy. Go check out the raremarvelpairs comm. Check the tags on marvel_fic and marvel_slash. There are things Avengers related that AREN'T Steve/Tony, but you have to dig a little.
Also, with the movies coming out... there does seem to be a heavy dose of Clint/Coulson out there... and some Thor/Steve and a bunch of other things. Check out mcu_slash or shield_hq for that...
