I feel so bad for POCs who come to Japan with big eyes and hopes and dreams to have fun here that could very well come true but will probably be marred by racism. Not the casual racism most any foreigner will experience in Japan, but the stuff you're talking about that white foreigners will not. I (white European) was told by a Japanese person to be careful when I'm in Roppongi because "there are a lot of foreigners"--and I really don't think they were talking about the TGIFridays staff passing out coupons on the street to tempt people inside.
