Or, logically, if others of the same level of attractiveness and neediness are getting it around her, then some unsubscribed flaw must be affecting her desirability. Since we know she's a nerd, and not unattractive... best bet is her personality. The fact she's all upset somebody else is getting attention doesn't help dispell that theory.
