I know it's some people's kink to have that imbalance of power, hell, it's one of MY kinks. But I really wish people wouldn't pretend it was 'herp derp love in bloom!' Yes, it's fiction, but it's a fiction trope that some people think is unlikely to the point of being... stupid.

I also wish people would stop defending this 'rape is love!" shit by saying anyone who criticizes it 'doesn't understand slave/Master' relationships. Um, no. I'm pretty sure anyone who knows anything about IRL, consensual s/M relationships would find this sort of power imbalance to be abusive/not representational of their lifestyle.

Or comparing it to Stockholm Syndrome. I have never seen a porny comic/fiction do the Stockholm Syndrome thing in any researched, interesting manner, possibly because I have never seen a work start out with that angle. It's always tacked on at the end to justify fucked up powerplay.
