why exactly should men's opinions be given much attention in feminist discussions? feminism is about combatting the patriarchy, getting rid of male privilege, and empowering women. why should men's thoughts about women - especially misogynist, whiny "omg double standards D:" ones like that of davidshephard here - be given value in discussions of this sort?
sure, men can have opinions about feminism - no one's suggesting that these should be disallowed - but often it's not appropriate to bring them up. especially when the person expounding on the evils of 'feminazis' clearly knows nothing about feminism or misogyny at all.
