Did anyone honestly think K/S was going to become canon in America? Honestly? I would have preferred if everyone was single, they developed the characters and friendships and then decided ships, which they don't even have to do, based on chemistry. There's nothing more painful than a couple who has no chemistry (although I think S/U do).
But seriously, who was saying K/S was going to happen, as more than bromance, in the second film? You didn't need to find the statement to know it wasn't going to happen. There's too much blatant homophobia in America for a producer to risk that. Maybe when people get a clue.
