The things you say in public do not exist in a void. You are taking part in a public discussion on a public forum. You don't have to be the OP of a secret to point out a shitty attitude when you see it and saying "Well, I was talking to the OP, for fuck you!" is a nice way of saying you don't need to be held accountable to the things you say in public.

You must be new here if you don't know that when you comment to a secret you are not often commenting to engage with the actual maker of the secret, but putting yourself out there and open general conversation, criticism and general attack from others.

By putting two things side by side (in this case, SLJ and the Hoff as separate actors of the same named character) and the responses fans have do or don't have you are drawing a comparison. Even if you didn't say "Let's compare", it's what you're doing.

What is "gross" about your point here is the assumption that flipping things around (i.e., "what if Fury had been black in comics canon and made white for the movie--you wouldn't care!") is okay and there's nothing troubling about that assumption.

But hey, it's pretty obvious you give all of no fucks at all to poor behaviour, so what do you care who you offend, right? Only OP's feelings matter. jfc.
