Yep, same here. I cry when I'm angry or scared. And having a heated debate can actually make me cry because I react like a cowering puppy whenever someone raises their voice at me, whether they're angry or not.

When I got to that point, hat's when I created a website for the actor and made it my job to keep up with what they were doing at all times. If there's not another fan site/official site out there for this person already, maybe you should consider buying a domain name and web hosting like I did, that way you can funnel your admiration and OCD IMDb stalking into something creative. Might help, might become a rabbit hole. It's a gamble.

Okay, I never wear makeup ever so that's the type of thing I'd usually expect to bore me to tears, but that girl is so freaking likeable that I ended up watching several more videos and bookmarking her channel. (Then she stopped in the middle of recording to squeal over a blimp, and I wished we were buddies)

A lot of people post (proudly, I might add) their age on their tumblr. My age is posted on mine. So if you've posted on your tumblr that you're 15 and all of your posts are about how hot Robert Downey Jr. is and how you want to lick him, I'm going to side-eye the hell out of that because yes, it is a bit creepy to crush on someone old enough to be your dad. And twice as old is old enough even if you're a teen - plenty of people have kids as teenagers whether they intend to or not.

It's not quite as creepy as a grown adult going around talking about how a teenager is hot (like 40 year old women crushing on Justin Bieber), but it's still creepy.

Okay... that's your take on it. Does that creepy level change if the person with the crush is of age? I'm 31 and my current celeb crush is 50. Is that still creepy to you?

Not at all!

It's not as creepy but it's still a little odd. Like I'm 30 and I've been mad in love with Robert Downey Jr. for several years now and am willing to acknowledge the potential creep-factor in him being 10+ years older than me. My sister actually dated a guy 10+ years older than her, at thirty, and our mom freaked out, so there's definitely a bit of a taboo. It's a LOT less creepy than teenage girls perving on grown men, though!

I think the older you get, the less weird it becomes - as a teenager and someone in their 20s, a person who is twice as old as you has a lot more power generally speaking, so I think we inherently see that kind of relationship, with such an inherent unbalance of power, as creepy. Some people have a total fetish for that though, hence the abundance of Snape/Harry fanfic and the prevalence in yaoi of much older male characters being with much younger male characters. The power balance isn't as unbalanced when I'm 31 and he's 47 or when you're 31 and he's 50, so it's less weird.

Sorry that got kind of long but I hope that explains the mindset. :)
