I quite honestly prefer fic with porn in it (plotty with porn is best, but pwps are good too! :D) but there's nothing at all wrong with not wanting to read porn, or have it around your comm.

(I have to agree, I love that fandom is so accepting, and there's no judging for people writing, reading, ENJOYING porn. :D)

Wow, I did not realize this was actually like, a disorder that causes problems. I'm really hypermobile but I always thought it was just some cool thing that I could show off while drunk, not a possible reason for my intense joint pain. I'm actually kind of bummed haha.

If you like het and vanilla, that's cool, but I admit that line about race sounds off to me, if you are white. If not, it's not really my place to talk about it, but I don't get what about characters being a different race than you makes them difficult to relate to. Their culture might be different, but people are people and everyone experiences the same feelings, just for different reasons.

My favourite science fiction book series when I was a child kind of had this. The author had the same name as the main character, and it was written as first person narration. It wasn't his real name, but I remember I liked it then. Made it more personal somehow.

Uhhh, I wouldn't say it's common. I know this is gonna come off as sounding pretentiously douchey since I'm getting my master's in English but I've only know a few to do it that were you know, well-known books. The biggest for me was Illusions by Richard Bach. He CLEARLY wrote one of the lead parts for himself as he's being taught lessons of life by a messiah-like character.

Dude, calm down. I have EDS. It's horrible. It is also possible to have Joint Hypermobility Syndrome, which is NOT EDS, that has a lot of the flexibility without the collagen disorder or pain.

MOST furries are not turned on by them, it's hardly a fetish for most.

It's just a way to identify and have fun, really. To a lot of furries it's just someone to draw as themselves, rather than drawing their ACTUAL self.

It's actually a very innocent thing, but there is the minority that DOES have a furry fetish (usually among other fetishes that are more common, like feet).

OP here.

Read up on it, you'll be glad later in life that you did. For now I recommend lots of low impact exercise such as swimming and cycling, and you'll find this will help with the pain. Never run or jog for exercise, this'll make it worse. Also avoid standing or sitting still for prolonged periods of time, move about a lot.

I'll cry over just about anything. Movie (in a movie theater filled with people, no less), book (bonus points if I'm reading it at work), cartoons, anime, video games, commercials, movie previews....I'd really rather not. I don't even think of myself as particularly emotional, and a lot of the things I cry at aren't because they've "touched me deeply" or anything. Fiction's just really good at turning on the waterworks for me....

Dunno if I'd like it if I were like you and *never* cried at anything, but meeting you half-way there wouldn't be so back sometimes.
