Are there any other fans who'll read pretty much anything as long as it's got a good plot, or is it just me?

Nope, not just you. And while I overall ship more het than slash, I have pairings in all three categories that I really like, and am also willing to read pairings I don't like as much - sometimes it changes my mind! I like gen, too, as long as it's interesting. I love character development/analysis and relationships (not just romance - platonic friendship and family relationships and mentor/student etc etc)
