Re: Hair washing question

(Anonymous) 2012-08-11 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
As long as your hair is doing good and isn't super greasy, then it's fine. I only wash my hair twice a week- lest I have flaky scalp.

Re: orgasm question + venting

(Anonymous) 2012-08-11 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
I'm going to be honest, your first time is probably going to be underwhelming or a let-down. Very few have that super awesome first time blissful experience or orgasm if on a hair trigger.
Now, the good news.

It sounds like both of you need to do a little research, or talk openly and frankly. Do either of you masturbate? Because if so, each of you know how you like to be touched what works. Tell each other, don't be embarrassed to talk each other through it.
The worst thing to do is NOT talk about it.
Also, if you were both anxious and stressed, that could have affected both your orgasms from happening.
I don't know how old you guys are, but the most important thing you both can do is be honest and talk about it, and give it time.
My first, second, and third time was pretty bad, and my first couple times with my current partner weren't fireworks either, but we talked, looked into stuff, and worked together and it went from okay to HOLY SHIT.

One Tumblr blog I definitely can recommend is fuckyeasexpositivity- http://fuckyeahsexpositivity.tumblr.com/
Their tag cloud might be a helpful reference.
But I am going to stress this overall: WHAT HAPPENED WITH YOU TWO HAPPENS TO EVERYONE. IT IS NORMAL. DO NOT BE EMBARRASSED.

Re: Personal Hygiene

I don't think it's abnormal for your inner thighs to be a darker color than the rest of your skin - at least it isn't for folks I've seen/known on the browner end of the color spectrum. Can't speak for naturally pale people.

Anyway, what works for me: Soak in a warm bath, or rinse with the showerhead (if you don't have a tub), and while your parts are submerged/wet, gently but thoroughly clean your inner thighs and outer lips (where the hair grows) with a mild soap (I recommend the unscented, white Dove bar or wash) and optionally a washcloth, and your inner lips with just the water and your fingers (you might be able to get away with a bit of Dove soap on the inner lips, too, it's fine for some women, including me, but others might have negative reactions, so plain water is safest). Rinse well (like vegetables, lol).

You do not have to scrub your vulva the way you scrub your arms, the skin's very delicate. And if you feel like that isn't enough, invest in an unscented feminine wash like Vagisil. (I can't vouch for it for lack of personal experience, but it's at least better than harsh scented soaps.) As for the pain (assuming it has anything to do with the nether regions and isn't a mobility issue), soaking is also good for soothing abrasions or abscesses down there.

I'd say, "many teenagers" not just "A".

Re: I wish I could actually fly in my dreams

[personal profile] caffeine_buzz 2012-08-11 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
I've never had a dream about actually flying like a bird, but I've had multiple ones where it's like the atmosphere is kinda like water except I can breathe and I just swim leisurely through the air everywhere. I guess it's not as much of a rush as I imagine a flying dream would be but it's always very pleasant.

I was in college when the movies came out. I decided to work hard to read the books before the movies (I'm a voracious reader and love reading difficult books). I actually never made it past the first part of the third book (the other two were like torture). I put down The Return of the King and realized I didn't really care what happened to the characters.

But when I watch the movies, I just about bawl.

When I married my husband, I was afraid to admit this to him (he has his undergrad in English and is currently working on his ThD). I thought...if I tell him this, he's going to tease me mercilessly (my other English major friends had been aghast that I didn't just LOOOOOVE LotR novels). When I finally admitted it, he just laughed and said he completely agreed.

I knew we were a good match LOL ^^

I wash my hair every day, if I don't it'll look greasy and flat.

But I've seen lots of people talk about taking care of their hair, especially those with kinky curly hair, and they don't wash but once to twice a week. It's normal.

I don't wash my hair every time I shower either or my scalp starts to flake really badly. I only wash it about twice a week, too.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-11 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
Oh for fuck's sake... Now you're blaming Tyrion for what happened to Sansa even though he wanted nothing to do with it and even offered Sansa to stop their marriage so she could marry someone she found more appealing? And even refused to touch her until she was ready and never once forced her to do anything? I don't blame Sansa at all but Tyrion was nothing but nice to her.

And yes, I think throwing a child out a window and breaking his spine is worse than what Tyrion did to Shae. If you're talking about threats now, Tyrion also threatened to put someone's child on a trebuchet so he's certainly not above that.

About two times a week. More in summer and/or if sweaty. I flat iron it pretty much every time.

It really depends on your hair: both my mom and grandma had the kind of hair that could go without washing for two weeks and still look okay.

I think it also depends on who's calling what wank. From one person's perspective everyone could be seen as reasonable but from another's it could be seen as wank.

Thank you :) I just found this secret kind of ironic as Chris Brown is actually feuding with Jimmy over Rihanna, and I really hope the secret maker had that in mind.

I was thinking of Naoto from Persona 4 actually. Or Mitsuru, conceivably...
/playing too much P4:A fffff

Point is, there are several teenagers who probably do think like that in fandoms (and irl too). Bella probably isn't one though.

Then they need to aim better so as not to end up in the fail bar.
