Rarity is one of those rare (sorry) characters who is girly but NOT shallow/stupid/frivolous/makes me feel embarrassed and think "is that really how guys see us?"

I grew up hating pink and shunning all things girly because I thought they'd make me shallow and weak and petty. I'm just now realizing that it's possible to be "girly" and not transform into a pink loving fashionista who doesn't care about anything but shoes.

I wish I'd had Rarity around when I was a kid. Would have saved me a lot of personal troubles.
