I think it's totally reasonable for people in countries that can't get new media yet to remind people in countries that can of that. Including DVD releases and shipping times. Because there's a benefit to the people who get those things soonest, and if they're polite, they'll be willing to keep they'll capslock spoiler feelings under a cut until everyone else can get whatever it is too. So, yeah, I think there is postal privilege, and sometimes people are dicks about it and that's stupid, but having the reminder isn't bad.
