Rather long response to #1

I agree with this. I don't always change my characters when I realize they're too similar to people in my fandoms, or really popular things, but I do dislike having other people point out the comparison. Especially when they assume right off the bat it's not a coincidence and you're copying. Got that the last time I mentioned one of my villains. Then again, I may have brought that on myself for writing an evil vizier and telling people about her when I'm also openly a Jafar fan. Yeah, I know it's not an original concept. I know it's a stereotype that dates back to ancient Egypt. But saying I'm directly copying Jafar, instead of just using an archetype? I can do without that bit.
