16. Pocahontas is one of those movies that serve as proof that Disney should probably stay away from history and classic lit. I don't know how any one who stayed awake during eighth grade US history can watch it and not go "...whut?"
But I always loved the artistic style. I like to watch it for the art and the music's not bad either. So yeah: not one of my favorites either, but not a major suckfest.
I think the mark of a good (read: sane) fan is to be able to NOT like things about the source of your fandom. I mean, what's the alternative? Mindlessly slobbering over every bit of it even if you know, deep inside, it was just not that good? You have taste and good judgement, don't be ashamed of it. It makes you more credible as a fan, imo.
