Oh no, I wasn't directing that at you, but at the person you replied to. My sarcasm just got a bit mixed up. Perils of trying to convey such things in text form only. I'm from the US (and one of the dreaded RED STATES ~insert ominous music here~) and I'm queer, so I know that things are getting a lot better. Not perfect, but the times, they are definitely a-changing. And, yeah, I get kind of sick of people making it out to sound like homophobia is limited to the US. We've got more than our fair share still, but so do a lot of places.
