I hope not. What I love about canon Holmes is that he loves when people are smarter than him. Just look at the way he talks about his brother. If being double crossed/out smarted send him in a downward spiral it makes him a sore loser and even more like a spoiled brat and I was glad they were slowly getting away from that characterisation.

I'm mainly worried they are going to fridge Irene because that would be nice and dramatic and a good source of manpain.
