I'm not the original poster, but thank you so much for posting this. Everything you said I had wanted to say but was too afraid to.

I was...lucky. There's no other word for it. SOMEHOW, I managed to get past Cathedral without having to fight it. :D'' Which is good, because I was stuck on it FOREVER, and even if I didn't let it change modes, it would ALWAYS kill me. Patriarch was so much easier than the stupid church. XD

I was biased to begin with. XD The person who got me into Xenosaga REALLY hated Shion. At least in regards to Allen himself, she's always blowing him off, or kinda forgetting that he's there because she's just so worried about KOS-MOS, which made me really sad deep down. D: Admittedly, she has a certain right to be in Bitch Mode, but I thought she just took it too far.

The darkness is coming~! 83 My friends and I have actually made costumes for Dahlia, Harry, and I've got movie!Alessa. We have some very ~~cracky~~ interesting videos because of them. XD And OMG, someone else who's actually played Shadow of Destiny! I actually found out about it through a friend, but I loved it. :3 You rock, too!

I believe it was in episode 2, they both were in the bar brooding over their respective superiors that they admire so much. ^.^;
Oh I dunno if you've played episode 3, but man I love Allen all the more in that one ^_^

...hehe...I love Keith! I love how he is so angry, yet so eloquent. He's really smart and kinda nerdy as well. And I have a thing for men with glasses...xD And I so agree about his voice! I could go on about Keith for hours...lol I probably sound ridiculous...

You are made of absofuckin win! I can understand why some people may hate the long cutscenes, but I just can't help it, the plot and characters pwns me so hard that I can see no wrong with them. This is one of the few games where I love every single character for going beyond their archetypes, heck I like even Shion who I think is the most hated (...WHUT, I find her fascinating with all her flaws and eccentricities).

And, of course, there's Allen who is just... adksjfdsijd!!1 I loved that "power of love" line though ~~OH NOES~~, I'm sorry, but the dorkiness just killed me (in a good way) ~~I looooove dorks~~. XD

I think that battle lasted the longest out of any battle I dealt with in the series thus far! D: But the Patriarch was definitely laughable in comparison to the Cathedral.

XD! The two people who got me into Xenosaga hate Shion AND Allen! Well, they hate Shion more. I have another friend that actually refused to finish episode III because she hated her that much. And all the hate makes me curious because I do not think I have ever seen so much hatred directed at one character from nearly a whole fanbase before. I hate how she treats Allen...but at the same time I want him to succeed in winning her over because he would be happy. D:

Ah~ You cosplay Silent Hill? That sounds like so much fun! The cracky videos sound amusing, I bet they were fun to make? :D
XDD! Shadow of Destiny is really an amazing game! But I recall a few years ago after playing it that there was supposed to be a sequel planned! I guess that never happened. D:

YES! That's how I feel. :3 I may like long cutscenes, but had this been any other game...I'm not sure how I'd feel. They just seem so right and I loved them all. I also love all the characters thus far...I can't really hate anyone! D: But I only just started episode III...and I have just been warned by nearly every fan that Shion turns into this super evil bitch from hell. Which is a shame because I really have enjoyed her the past two games...and even enjoy her thus far as of chapter 5 in episode III. D:

The "power of love" line made me groan in embarrassment, but I was laughing! Even though I threatened his life (it's just me, I love teasing him)- it's what I like about him. I have a STRONG attraction to dorky guys and Allen is the most realistic dorkbag I have ever met.
If I ever shoved him out of an airlock for it, just know I would have thrown myself out there with him. XDD!

Seriously though, Shion isn't as bad as some people claim her to be or maybe it's just me cuz I can be just like her at times *hides*, yes, she can be bitchy and mean to certain people, but I think it's understandable considering the pressure she's been under in the game. Besides, I think it's a breath of fresh air to have an rpg female lead who has realistic flaws in them. Oh, dear, am I coming off as a Shion-fanatic? I'm not, really, the hating is just soooo wearisome.

Oh! I too love Xenosaga II's gameplay ~~the dialogue is a different matter all together~~; I don't think it was even that difficult. How the mind boggles.
