I am very aware that everyone's experience is different. That's going to be true of anything. For myself and multiple partners in possession of male and female anatomy, prep has been preferred. And, were I a part of someone's first experience, I would think erring on the side of caution makes sense.

Obviously that's just my take on it but the spit and slap technique first time out seems... extreme in a lot of cases. Not saying all because, hey, whatever works and in some ships,that would be perfectly in character.
