Seriously! The shinigami were the best part. It's too bad they were practically written out in the second half. Even when the investigative team could see Ryuk, they hardly ever talked to him, which is just plain odd. If you had some semi-friendly mythical monster thing in your midst, wouldn't you be a little bit curious?

Plus, I can totally see Matsuda and Ryuk becoming friends.
