Uncomfortable due to being "utterly revolted" by her own body, which is a thing she is encased in and carries around with her 24/7. So, yes, that level of self-loathing doesn't seem healthy compared to an asexual that is fine with their body and their lack of sex drive, who simply doesn't engage in sexual pursuits.

Those people are so obnoxious.

Also it's stupid when they complain about how they;re victims of society for not having children, and then proceed to turn around and attack people for wanting children.

then when they complain about how so many people are meeean to them because they don't like kids, I'm like "no, people don't like you because you're a hypocritical asshole." I mean I know and have been friendly with people who aren't fond of children. They do not obsesses about their dislike of children and attack the people around them who have them.

Ugh. Little of everything. I spent my childhood learning anything from anyone who had what could remotely be called a skill (including the art of distance spitting!) then working my way through the craft section of the library and then spent my teenage years trying out all kinds of apprenticeships.

Nothing ever really caught my attention for too long but my favorites would have to be metal work, needle felting, pottery, and whittling. Ironically none of those were fields I naturally excelled in.

With "Daleks of Manhattan," I was so thrown by the American accents that it took me a while to figure out that some of the accents probably weren't supposed to sound as fake as they did.

It is kind of hilarious in a fun way.

Are you my grandmother? O.o Besides her paintings those were what she was most known for. :D

She taught me some basic tatting before she passed away. My interest was sparked when we were looking through photo albums and I saw her wedding dress for the first time. She had been made to wear a family wedding dress that was, in her words, "so hideous vultures fell out of the sky" when she wandered out it. So she had basically made an entirely seperate dress out of lace to wear over it. The result was astonishingly gorgeous.

I was going to rant about 'oh but you're probably never getting a fandom anyway' but then I saw the word art and I can't even be mad anymore. The nostalgia! Rock on then.

I don't know much about the fandom, but that sounds like a decent hobby. It's something hopefully low-stress and low-commitment that you can enjoy from home, and it's probably something that isn't too difficult to coordinate with the baby's schedule.

I'm going to actually do exam revision throughout the year so that when the exam period comes, I don't get uber-stressed about trying to cram for three weeks solid (like I'm doing now). And, you know, just cut down on the procrastination in general. I mean, I make this promise to myself at the start of every single semester and I always fail about one week in, but...hopefully this year will be the year.

I'm also going to write more (starting after my exams), and try to read at least a little bit every day.

And I'm going to take up drawing (also after exams). I tried briefly last year but I gave up when I discovered I sucked. But drawing is something I've always wished I could do, so I'm going to stop lamenting my lack of talent and start practicing to build up my skill.

(Also, write more songs.)

(And take up playing drums again because it's been over a year since I last played.)

I feel the same way. But it might have to do with my being a bitter Elrond fan. I mean, I feel that Thranduil was so much better loved even before he was on screen, and now the new fandom is getting crazy about him again.
