My sentiments exactly! I think Eternal Sunshine is my favorite of his movies, by far- but it certainly wasn't the first, I love his serious roles. And The Number 23 is painful for me, because people ask if it was any good and it's like a trick question. Yes, I loved it - it was interesting, if nothing else.... but no, I wouldn't suggest it to just anyone.
