It was for Final Fantasy VII, and the main pairing was Cid/Vincent, with implied Sephiroth/Cloud/Zack/Aerith OT4 in the background. It was a fractured fairy tale type story, taking a bit from the legend of Cupid and Psyche. Cid had to go on this quest to save Vincent, and on the way he met Zack, Aerith, and Cloud at different points and they each gave him a materia that would help on his quest...

Yeah, it sounds a little stupid when I describe it like that, but I remember it being really good and funny when I read it. Anyone got any leads?
