I never disliked Mira as a character either. I loved that it was she--and not Spartacus--who spilled first blood for the rebellion. I just never fully bought her and Spartacus as a couple. We had gone a whole season seeing him so resolute in his fidelity to Sura... it was like he was devoid of desire or, dare I say, sexuality in general. It was like that part of his personhood was simply excised in the loss of Sura. With the exception of Oenomaus (who seems to be in the same boat with the absence of Melitta), Spartacus was the only main character to show no real sexual interest in anybody else. It just always seemed like the relationship with Mira came out of left field. (Probably because the writers were wondering who the hell Spartacus could chat with after Varro had been removed from the picture.)
