In the movie? Hell yes, I'm in total agreement. I was horrified that they watered down their relationship so much.

But in the book, I actually thought there was some good development. I really wish we could have seen more exploration of their relationship - I was completely heartbroken when they died. I guess that's what fanfiction is for.
