noooooo? mekkio seems to think that if everyone's anon it will turn into a wankfest...therefore leading into the weird and incorrect idea that usernames somehow reduce wank or arguments

I beg to differ as FS would not change in the drastic way they seem to think. wank levels would remain much the same and Mekkio is being rather insulting and dismissive in their attitude that being anon = trollish mass or more wank simply because of anonyminity. it's the same people as usual, the wank will ebb and flow as usual, anon or not.
