I don't think it's that no one (except you) feels this way. I think people vary a lot when it comes to how much attraction they experience to others, and how much attraction they experience when they aren't interested in actually being with someone. You sound like you're on the extreme end of the spectrum. Which isn't horrible. It's just not the norm. I think for most people, attraction is something mostly spontaneous that they can't control. But some people may find that how much attraction they experience can depend a bit on their life circumstances and how focused (or not focused) they are on romance.
