In fairness, she had started to redeem herself a bit in my eyes, in the last couple of episodes -- enough that I wasn't cheering for her demise, at least. She had the potential to grow up a bit, but she really needed to be led by the nose to get there, and there just... wasn't time.

But for most of the series? Guh.
