I'm actually a big fan of horror, and can put up with quite a lot, but there's something about Ito and Lapham's work that is really off-putting. Like, "there's something wrong with him and he needs to be institutionalized to protect others" off-putting. Crossed was disturbing when Garth Ennis came up with it; David Lapham's take was unhinged even by the standards Ennis had set. Reading the 'Psychopath' miniseries was an endurance test that I really regret.
Most horror doesn't even phase me anymore. All that's left is the really screwed up shit, and that's just not as enjoyable.
