Other people can probably articulate it better, but the biggest difference between Ruffalo!Bruce and Norton!Bruce is the way they approach what is basically a health issue. Ruffalo!Bruce is a little more self-depreciating and accepting; not at peace per say, but resigned. Norton!Bruce seemed a little more desperate, and I'd actually put him as slightly less sane than Ruffalo!Bruce seemed.

I suppose Ruffalo's Bruce could seem like a natural progression from Norton's Bruce, but I still didn't find Norton!Bruce very relateable as a character. Bana's Bruce didn't really click with me for other reasons, but I think he was better than Norton for the role.

(And at this point, you are probably sick of the words Ruffalo, Norton, and Bruce.)
