Yes. As a person and a professional this is simply not done. He's encouraging Will down a dark path instead of doing his job and helping him get better. Cannibalism aside, this is already something that would have gotten him crucified if he weren't a fandom darling. Thankfully most of the fandom I've seen (so far) doesn't woobiefy him.

That reminds me, Bryan Fuller said something like "for God's sake Will get a second opinion!"
