Re: Fandom Justice

It's not so much "everyone dies" and "horrible things happen to the men as well" but rather that it is connected to the lack of female characters.

Like, look at the angels. How many of them were female to start with? How many female angels are around now? I mean, look at everything that has happened to Castiel, yet he is still around. Any female angels still alive?

I don't want to protect a character solely because she is a woman. I just would like for females to actually survive. I was amused but also disturbed by the number of people who were happy that Charlie managed to survive her last episode. It's because TPTB have a history of bringing back female characters solely to kill them off. Yes, male characters die too, but as with the angel question, how many female characters can you think of that are still alive? How many male characters can you think of that are still alive? There are many times more male characters that are still alive than female characters. Whether or not they are shown, at least several of the male characters are still around somewhere in the universe. This is not really the case for female characters. To visit your point, it is bad writing to have 99.9% of the characters needed for later plot points to be male characters.
