Yeah, really. That was probably part of why I avoided it for much too long. I found it ever so enchanting when I realized it could be pitched as 'Swan Lake meets The Neverending Story'.

sounds like you need to get some new friends/people you hang with because anytime I've talked about liking a show, that's not what I get asked. usually it's 'have you gotten to the XYZ arc yet? that is soooo awesome!'

10. I could watch Hiro doing data processing and I would love the show, he is just that cute and adorkable.

11. Fakir/Ahiru is great. Although I think I sort of feel that way about them in reverse. I love their relationship but I always feel a little disappointed when they don't put in the other relationships that got them to where they are, or at least give me the impression that they are nowhere near as important.

17. J-dramas manage to be sort of a grab bag. But, seriously, Nakama Yukie as Yankumi is so much better than anything else. You should also try Nodame Cantabile if you haven't yet.

ship_manifesto so, uh, don't be afraid to admit it! Really, I hear the Mytho/Ahiru fans exist they are just very ellusive

I was so sure about these, I knew I'd be wrong with at least one XD

I see exactly where you're coming from. The movie, in its barely hour-and-a-half length, is just a quick-fix -- it doesn't permit the sort of investment in the characters and plot that the hours and hours of gameplay it takes to finish FFVII do, and thus allows for the sort of passive people who would never dedicate all that time to become invested in the characters to try to claim they have a genuine knowledge of them when, really, they DON'T, because characters have either been reduced to pale shades of their true selves (such as Reno [and by extension Rude, too] being reduced to comic relief, or Aeris stuck with the whole Jesus-figure schtick and none of the personality that made her interesting) or given pretty much no screen time at all (poor Nanaki).

...Yeah, I can definitely understand why it's so incredibly frustrating that people are willing to stop there when they don't even know the HALF of it.

22. Oh my god, yes. Though, I have to admit that one of my characters in an RP along with his lover are going to basically make Snape their bitch. He throws shit at my character. XD

Pretty bad, especially since he hasn't been able to seriously do anything against Light. The way this person plays them, they make him out to be a lot dumber than the dumbest character in that game with some of his random deductions. It's pretty shameful.

PT seriously needs so much more love. I've been pimping out the series like crazy and adding everything I can to the tiny fandom, but most of the people I know won't even give it a chance. >>;

But the community of fans for it is wonderful, despite being small. I've never felt so comfortable in a fandom before. <3

I agree hardcore. I mean yeah, Snape saved him, but Sirius pretty much lived and died for Harry, so it's kind of shitty to call Snape the bravest man he ever knew. What the hell is Lily's middle name, PeterPettigrew?

Another person from the main commenter, but I will put in my two cents worth anyway.

1. This L asks questions that L, as the character should already know.

2. To the best of my memory, Near killed himself (with a knife) because of L's suggestion that Kira would use it to control him. Do note that in this rp, characters do come back 'alive' even if they die. ~~The Near is as bad or worse than L is, IMHO.~~

3. While his main target should ideally be Kira, this L instead pays more attention to the City itself and Kira's 'friend.'

Not to mention that some of the deductions that L came up with is obtained through infogaming. Also, the ooc drama? I am not involved in it, but these things spread like wildfire.

It is hard to take someone seriously when you roll your eyes at every other post he makes. It saddens me because L is my favorite character until this L came along.

Different person, but fucking word to all that is said. ~~Near and L can tie for the title of 'godawful'.~~ And don't get me started on the OOC dramawhoring and the bootlickers that this mun has.

12. I feel the same way you do... and it makes me so upset that I actually get depressed. This makes me feel bad because I am upset over a small thing like this. But it is a big thing to me... though I will never admit it to anyone.

27. I know a bit of what you are going through. By nature, I am an introvert. I do not express myself well and I tend to shy away from people... but yet at the same time, I crave having someone being there for me. It feels like I am shutting myself from the coffin, and I fear that one day, people I care for will just leave me in there.
